📄Camera information:
The arrival of more powerful batteries in 1959 opened up new possibilities for film cameras. Canon seized this opportunity with both hands and introduced the Cine EEE, a camera that combined ease of use and functionality in a compact design.
The Cine EEE differed from traditional cameras by using an electric motor instead of a spring motor. This resulted in a significantly longer film run time and optimal battery utilization. The zoom function and exposure control (EE: Electric Eye, now AE or Automatic Exposure) were also electrically controlled, which made a compact design possible.
The camera was equipped with a 4x zoom lens with a bright aperture of f/1.7. Two external levers facilitated aperture control, making automatic and manual exposure and fade effects easy to achieve. The addition of a film rewind button completed the camera.
These innovative features made the Cine EEE an ideal camera for both beginners and advanced film amateurs. The user-friendly controls and versatile features made movie recording more accessible than ever before.
