This iconic Canon 814 XL-S Super 8 camera from the 70s is a gem for the vintage enthusiast! With its stylish, well-maintained housing and clean lens, it exudes quality and nostalgia. This camera is unfortunately not fully functional, but offers plenty of opportunities for repair or use as a decorative collector's item. The light meter and zoom still work perfectly, which provides a good basis for those who are handy with film cameras.
- Exterior and lens in excellent condition with only minimal signs of use, which makes this camera visually still very attractive.
- Zoom function, light meter and exposure meter are fully functional and respond exactly as expected.
- Operation: the motor currently only runs for 1 second and does not want to continue filming. When inserting a super 8 cartridge, the motor wants to film between 5 and 60 seconds. After this period, the motor stops automatically. The record button can be pressed again for a short follow-up recording, but continuous filming is unfortunately not possible.
- Sold as defective - ideal for parts or as a restoration project for the handy DIYer. The motor has a problem that prevents the camera from filming continuously, but given the excellent condition of the body and lens, this camera is still very valuable. The motor may be repairable, or else the camera would make a wonderful source of parts.
Perfect for collectors, movie camera enthusiasts or restorers looking for a unique, authentic project. Add a piece of film history to your collection with this beautiful Canon Super 8 camera!
