📄Camera information:
From the 1950s to the 1970s, Agfa produced a line of cameras called the Optima. One of the cameras in this series was a half-frame model. In many ways it was similar to the other half-frame cameras of the time. The built-in selenium cell light meter controls shutter speed and aperture settings in programmed automatic exposure control. The lens is an Agfa Color-Solinar 30mm f/2.8 with four elements in three groups, in a Compur-B shutter with shutter speeds from 1/30 to 1/500. A telephoto Agfa Color-Telepar 55mm f/2.8 lens fits the standard lens, which is equivalent to an 85mm full-frame lens. Focusing is done manually. Variations in the design of the camera with different coverings were available. Some have a movie memory disk on top. Same body style as Parat and Paramat. The camera can focus down to three feet and has a built-in hot shoe.
This Agfa Optima half-frame camera is not only a piece of photographic history, but also a reminder of the charm of analog photography. With its versatile lens and automatic exposure control, it is a great companion for capturing special moments from the past and creating new memories.
